His big-bodied frame seemed to pay well in this episode, as he came out of the corner with a mediocre position, but nonetheless upright and ahead of the majority. Crossing the finish in fifth on the first lap, he had no time to waste and passed Alex Frye for fourth prior to the first whoop section. This would be his point of attack, as he lured the number 32 of Bisceglia in on lap three as well and blitzed right by him, taking third.
He would remain in no man’s land until lap seven, where a rear flat for Shane Mcelrath would bump the field up one spot, and Bowers rightfully shifted to second position. However, on lap eight, Tyler’s parade seemed to be dampened, and he began to drop, landing in eighth with seven to go. After fighting tooth and nail to regain what he once had, Bowers would take one step forward and two steps back, eventually finishing in a disappointing eleventh.
