“You underestimated greatly, most numbers one ever, how long did it really take
me?” The thoughts of JB19 echoing through his helmet as he shot out of the
launch pad and took a commanding lead in heat one.
Even with the gap lengthening on lap two, ET3 began to phone home and signal he was occupying the number one spot shortly. To Bogle’s dismay, the Kawasaki rider was given the “all clear” signal and emerged victorious before the whoop section.
Knuck if you buck, knuck if you buck, the street anthem this time acting as soundtrack to Bogle’s opening sequences. After yet another killer holeshot, Bogle stood it up at about 11 o’clock through the initial rhythm section, clipping the landing, and being “bucked” off the motorcycle, taking a few riders down with him; luckily he would quickly remount, as the end result could’ve been much worse.
Passing the finish line near the tail end of the field on lap one, Justin decided to discuss issues with his team in the mechanics area, pulling off in the process. Jenny Taft immediately got the Geico rider’s attention for an interview, where he would apologize to both team and competition, saying he would “keep it moving” inferring he’d be ready for the next round.
