Phil was ready to put the past behind him and start over new in Canada. After qualifying 21st, he set his sights on the night show, determined to put in some solid results for himself and
for his team. Nicoletti got a poor start in 450 Heat 2 and it didn’t get any better after that. After a hard crash, he would forget about the Heat and focus on getting back into race condition for the rest of the qualifiers. He did not line up for the Semi and only time would tell if he was on the line for the LCQ. Unfortunately the call was made for Phil not to race, and his night would be cut short. With three bad weekends in a row, Phil will be more than ready to rebound as soon as possible. Hopefully the injury is not serious, “Filthy Phil” will be back on the gate soon.
