>> Scott Champion didn’t start his season off that well missing the main event at the first round. But has since then made up for it getting an 11th place finish just two weekends ago. Looking to improve, Champion has been working hard during the week to get his BPR Mx/ Home Depot/ Yamaha into that coveted top ten. Starting round six strong he missed a direct transfer
to the main event by only one spot after getting 10th place in his heat race. Moving onto the last chance qualifier it was his last opportunity of the night to get into the main event. Not messing around Champion got a great start out of the gate putting him in fourth the last position to transfer. Fighting hard in the LCQ Champion worked his way into second place, moving on to the main event. The Yamaha rider got a decent jump out of the gate through the first turn where he sat right in the mix around thirteenth place. With the mayhem of the first lap out of his way Champion had fallen back to sixteenth and maintained that position for a few laps. Mcconahy and Starling made some more moves on him sending him back another two positions to eighteenth. The end of the race consisted of him moving back and forth between these positions until he eventually settled into seventeenth where he finished the race. A step up from last weekend’s race, now heading into break Champion knows where the work needs to be put in.
