>> Texas is known to be home to some all out badasses. Whether it be
a hard-nosed cowboy roaming the ranch in many of America’s classic Western movies, athletes throughout the high school, collegiate, and pro- fessional ranks holding amongst the upper echelon of their sport, or war hero’s solidifying their existence with a commonality of being born in the Lonestar state, you truly see it all in the state of Alamo. Noah McConahy is trying to stamp his name among great performances in the land of the free as well, or shall we rather say “brand”, as it tends to be more fitting with the environment. Gaining momentum at each and every round, he looked to continue to build on this stop of the tour, aspiring to amass a plethora of points before the series hits a hiatus. With the 30-second board slanting sideways, it was time for the pre-race jitters to reveal themselves; in either a sense of hesitance, or a raging flame that could captivate anyone in attendance; he chose the latter. Around the first turn they went, separating themselves one by one, all of them skating around the Texas soil as the grip was less than optimum. Following an outstand- ing heat position, his momentum was being generated like that of an astounding current, seeking more charge with each go around. Filling in for that of Tyler Bowers, he knew that this may be a last chance of his
to leave an impression on all of the industry, and he was making damn sure of it. His lanky frame allowed him to wheeltap through each whoop section, gaining time on veterans such as Kyle Chisholm, and fending off rookie Ryan Surratt. Almost losing the rear end in the corner after the finish line, Noah needed no further reason to escalate the Yamaha and plow into the foregoing line. He would chase the number 11 to the bitter end, crossing the line in admirable 11th place.
