>> If you were able to watch any of the NFL season this past year, then you surely heard about the waves of attention the Dallas Cowboy’s were making as they climbed through the standings
with a rather unorthodox roster. They were led by a rookie, that hardly anyone recognized prior to training camp; and he goes by the name of Dak Prescott. Prescott’s story is somewhat similar to that of Ryan Surratt; a young man looking to make his way into
the professional ranks, utterly pleading with someone to give him a chance to showcase his raw talent; and if his results from the Dallas event were any indication, he could present a case similar to Prescott’s in the years to come. After navigating his way through the utter chaos on the opening lap, Surratt’s California style glis- tened in a whirlwind of action we all know as the latter half of the 250 field. A former Collegeboy title winner at Loretta Lynn’s, he pushed his way through fellow contenders such as AJ Catanzaro and Justin Hoeft. Each time he crested the “SX” triple that charis- matic flare would attract the eyes of all those in the seats, many thinking his outlaw tendencies (and number choice) resembled that of Jason Lawrence. Spinning his tread through the apex of the berms, he was taking some rather unusual lines but cutting down abruptly, but making it work nonetheless. As the white flag flew, he knew he’d put in one of the best performances of his career, and would solidify it with a remarkable 12th place finish.
