Moving into the afternoon, holding onto his 2nd place moto one finish, moto two started in nearly an identical,
mirror-image of the first with both Martin brothers leading the way into turn two. Interestingly, Alex Martin went down, which ultimately forced Jeremy to slow down and allowed Ciancurulo to take the top spot away from both of them. Well, Jeremy wasn’t having any of that thought, as the little Martin turned it up and began the assault on AC, finally picking up the lead in the eighth minute of the race. Distancing Adam in the laps following the pass, J-Mart had a seven second lead at the halfway point. Once there, Martin was unstoppable for the remainder of the race, cruising to the finish for the next 15 minutes plus two. Finally, in front of the hometown crowd, with a 2-1 on the day, J-Mart was able to earn his first overall of the season and couldn’t have made it happen at a better time. Boy oh boy are these last four races going to be intense.
