JOEY SAVATGY
It’s been a strange stretch for Joey Savatgy as the outdoor season has transitioned into the second half rounds. Starting the season with such ease getting three wins and a 2nd in the first five races, Joey has, unfortunately, been outside the top 5 in both of the last two rounds, thus crippling his championship hopes. Looking at why, three of those four moto’s saw Savatgy finish in double digits, the only double digits that
Joey has seen this season. Most fingers would blame his accident at Red Bud to be the culprit of the recent struggles but
with only five rounds left to regain his early season points lead, Savatgy can’t look for a cause and must look for the solution; the
most obvious being starts. The Yamaha boys are tough, and in Millville last year, both Webb and Jeremy Martin finished in front of
