Savatgy maintained his position, failing to make up any time. Savatgy finally got by his fading teammate, AC, to pick up the final podium position by the halfway mark and shortly after, turned good into great as the #37 got around Osborne for 2nd. Unfortunately, Savatgy then makes a miniscule, but costly mistake,
standing the bike up in a deep rut. A mistake that allowed Osborne and Webb by, pushing Joey back to 4th and right in front of a hungry Aaron Plessinger. Staying just in front of Aaron, Joey really began to feel the heat when Alex Martin joined the party with two to go for a three-way battle for the podium. Unable to withstand the rising temperatures, Savatgy dropped to 5th as A-Mart went by and remained there for the final lap. A positive note to a dreadful stretch over the past few rounds, Savatgy earned 4th overall and looks to Washougal for some more of that first half flavor.
