Creeping in on the top ten, the NewEnglander sat twelfth following a very admirable start for the Yamaha squad. Slashing through the sand like blue-hued samarai, Renzland was ready, willing, and able to do whatever necessary to cut the field piece by piece to obtain an optimum position. He rallied amongst the top in the sport, putting his early season woes to the wayside and displaying a true amount of potential, something that was hinted in the multiple Loretta Lynn titles he earned as an amateur. Renzland crossed the final stripe in remarkable fashion, taking home a career highlighted ninth place
finish. As the pin fell for moto number two, many looked for Renzland to replicate his previous performance. He quickly found Colt Nichols, however, and began to joust feverishly, as the two duked it out for the top spot beneath the tent. Nearing the halfway point, Renzland sat in 13th position, with pressure amounting from all around. Battling the likes of fellow A class champion’s, Rj Hampshire and Mitchell Harrison, Renzland’s blitzing style was appareant when he attacked Mt. Martin each lap; holding on for dear life, precisely picking his line down the steep pitch, all the while keeping the Yamaha pinned to the max. Running laptimes just a mere 4 seconds off the leaders, Renzland would escalate to an outstanding ninth place, and finish tenth overall on the day.
