>> Talk about a break through year for the #81 Triggr Racing Yamaha rider. In recent years Miller hasn’t been a rider on the radar but that has all changed in 2017. Miller has shown speed all year on his privateer 250 machine in both su- percross and motocross. While trying to contend in the 250 class in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series Miller found that it was difficult to compete in the 250 class. This is mostly because of how much maintenance a 250 machine needs com- pared to a 450. After four rounds of trying in the 250 class Miller and the Triggr Racing team made the change to race the 450 class and it is starting to pay off. So far Henry has been inside of the top 15 in four of the six motos he’s compet- ed on thus far and just a week ago at Round 6 at the historic Red Bud National Henry Miller put himself on the map and was rewarded with the FMF Privateer Power Award for his efforts.
Fast forward to Round 7 and Miller continues his rise as one of the fastest 450 privateer riders in the AMA roster. Moto #1 t Southwick didn’t start as well as Mill- er would’ve liked as he went down on early on lap one when he came together with Bogle and Musquin. After a few laps the riders started to settle in their pace and Henry was all the way back in 35th. Ten minutes later Henry was just a few positions out of the points and was consistently running lap times faster then the ten riders ahead of him. Miller found himself in 15th with just a couple of laps left. Henry made one last push and made his way past both Alix and Scharer to finish 13th.
Moto two started off much better for the privateer Yamaha rider as he was run- ning a strong 10th after opening laps. Henry did get passed by Peick and Craig but a combination of speed and ability of staying on top of the Southwick Sand Miller was able to get those positions back and then some to finish a career high 9th.
