MALCOLM STEWART
Looking into the last race before the East/West shootout, all eyes were fixed on the red plate of
Stewart and the unwavering consistency he’s encompassed through the first seven rounds. Now nearing its finale, Monster Energy Supercross has, with only two main events left, officially entered the most primed time of the year. A time where the list of hypotheticals reaches its peak as every bench racer picks their favorites and determines what has to happen for them to earn a championship in Sin City. For Stewart, coming into New Jersey, his predictions are easy. He needs wins and if
not a win, he absolutely needs the box in order to extend his points lead which now sits at only five points over Aaron Plessinger. The temperature is hot in the 250 class, though, as both riders have finished on the podium four times and are each entering E. Rutherford with one victory. With only fifteen laps before Vegas, Stewart attempted to be the third Honda to win in New Jersey as the world of Supercross witnessed the next chapter of the 2016 east coast story.
