Although a 14th place finish is well off of what Frye and his supporters are looking for I personally would say it was a great ride for the rookie. To me it looks like a make it or break it deal with Alex right now as he has shown signs of brilliance this season and also some last place finishes this year. Tonight in New Jersey Frye seemed to really have things under control, it didn’t look like he was pushing to hard in the
main event and rode to a smart finish. The great outdoors are soon approaching and there is no need to for the #128 to make a mistake and possibly injure himself before the season begins. Frye showed he had the speed to do much better as he pulled the holeshot in his heat race and finished a much respected 3rd behind Davalos and Stewart. The factory Ktm rookie pulled another great start in the main event and was sitting just outside of the top 5. I believe Frye is preparing himself for a complete outdoor season because he was much more capable than 14th after a 6th place start. Frye is sitting within grasp of a top ten overall in the 250 East Coast championship in his rookie season and has one more round to make up 8 points on Matt Bisceglia.
