GANNON AUDETTE
The 2014 NFL Draft was crammed with talent, a record 98 underclassmen choosing to toss their name in the hat, wishing with every being that they would be selected by a professional team. Clowney, Bortles, were among the first names to go, followed by wide receivers Sammy
Watkins and Mike Evans; and then came the pick of the New York Giants. They chose a young man named Odell Beckham Jr., an athlete with accomplishment behind him, yet not jaw dropping enough to garner a first pick selection. Little did they know what was in store, as the unheralded signee set the NFL ablaze, setting fire to a trail that hadn’t yet been touched. With the series heading to the Meadowlands, the vibe of Giant-esque characteristics surrounds the respective teams of Supercross; and that aforementioned situation is apparent when magnifying Mitch Payton and Pro Circuit Kawasaki. They too made an uncharacteristic move, signing a prospect that many passed on and appeared as part of the blend in a sea of competitors. However, Payton has an eye for winners, and the addition of Gannon Audette sent a wave of awe throughout the buzz of the industry, as the Minnesota native holeshotted and led his first moments aboard the factory machine.
Audette travels to New Jersey sitting just two points behind teammate, Tyler Bowers, for fifth, and is striving to obtain a contract for years to come with PC battalion. With momentum pushing him full steam ahead, there’s no reason why he can’t shock the
industry again.
