FREDRICK NOREN
450 MX / 14TH

>> Although we haven’t seen as much of Noren in 2017 as we had
in 2016 his season was not a bust by no means. The Swede finished
an impressive 12th overall in the points standings, which gave him top privateer honors in the class. Along the way he finished inside of the
top ten 5 different times with his best finish being a 7th at Washougal. He also only had one race where he finished outside of a points paying position all season long, thats an amazing hill to climb while racing a privateer effort. Race one at Ironman Mx wasn’t that exciting for the #40 as he finished 13th, one positon back from where he started. Race two is where Fast Freddy was put to the test. On the opening lap of race two Noren got tangled up with multi time world champ and race one winner Jeffrey Herlings. Noren was on the ground for quite some time before he was able to rejoin the race, and once he had he was in dead last. It took the TiLube Honda rider over five minutes to find his competi- tion and from then he was able to make passes. Twenty three minutes of racing went by and Noren finally just got himself into a points paying position. @norenmx never quit and fought to the bitter end of this race to give him 15th at the flag. It’ll be interesting to see the TiLube Honda team and Noren put together another great program in the 250 class come supercross.
