centuries ago during the Gold Rush, settlers were forced to obtain income at all costs.
Whether that be by conquering terrain during travel, or fighting their peers in a battle of
urgency, the allure of gold was too overtaking.
Sexton also had to fight both rugged landscape and competitors in his aspirations for those immaculate nuggets.
He undertook quite the load in the 450 Pro Class, as the first moto saw him overcome a fifth place start and feverishly juke through the field. Although down three seconds to the leader, Bradley Taft, on lap six, Sexton continued
to shift away, setting the fastest lap time on lap eight, and placing second. Moto two saw Sexton in quite the brawl, as everyone in the field besides the leader (Taft) began to cupid shuffle and remix their first moto finishes; Sexton would come away with a fourth, nestled between professional racer Noah McConahy and Tristan Charbonaeu. The third and final round saw Sexton appear in the hunt early, but a mishap on lap three would send the Geico prospect back to fourteenth. Never losing his aggressive nature however, he would climb back to eighth place and sixth overall.
