Jessy Nelson was hungry for a win at the opening round and his efforts nearly produced just that. Pulling a holeshot typical Nelson style, Jessy worked his way to an early lead and refused to give it up. Holding off the bad- gering competitors for ten laps, Jessy would eventually finish a very strong second place overall in the first race in the 250 West region. Jessy’s second place was just as good as a win at the opening round. Now knowing where he sits, expect Nelson to come in hitting even harder as the round rolls into round two.
