#14 Cole Seely: HRC Honda
Cole Seely’s trek to the top of the Supercross food chain was anything but the traditional path. Seely actually began his two wheeled dealings on the BMX course, before eventually choos- ing that the motocross track was the place for him. Not taking his talents and opportunities too seriously throughout his teen years, Seely actually stepped away from racing for a bit before realizing that competition was where his heart was at. Fast forward through his unique tenure as an amateur and as the
big leagues approached Seely got on his grind and hopped in without a doubt in his mind. Cole earned several wins during his first years as a 250 rider and after honing his skills and showing his ability to ride the 450 so well, he was given the chance to step up to the premier racing division. Following a breakthrough year in the 450 class, Honda’s Cole Seely is entering 2016 the favorable wild card. A relatively new full timer to the class with a history of solid results to boot, Seely appears to be sitting in an amazing spot as he rides into the upcoming season of Super- cross competition. With 2015 serving as his official debut into the premier class, Seely is merely just getting started in terms of his overall career, namely in the 450cc division. Cole’s efforts on the track were enough to take over the #14, earning it as his new career number. Seely has some very big shoes to continue to fill, as former fellow Honda rider Kevin Windham made some serious noise running the famous one-four. No worries for Cole however, as he has certainly played the part well so far in his short time sporting the number. Last April, Cole took the world by storm leading all twenty laps of the Houston, Texas Super- cross Main and earning his first career win in the 450cc division. Seely’s strong starts and ability to sprint away from the pack in the opening laps of the race make him a very tough to rider to beat on any Saturday, especially if he gets the jump. Watch for the #14 to come out swinging for the fences as he steps up to bat for Honda in 2016 and beyond.
