>> Vince Friese has been riding one of his most successful Supercross seasons. With some races being better than others but for the most part maintaining consistency. His best finish of the season was a 12th place back in Arlington, but he has been placing himself right into the mix of things each round. For round eleven of the season Friese qualified into the night show in 19th. Not exactly the best place to start the night, but qualifying never defines how well a rider is going to do in the race. Get- ting a killer start for the heat race the MotoConcepts SmartTop Honda rider was in the mix in 4th place. Canard moved in fast sending him back to 5th followed by Stewart and Bogle. One more rider got by him leaving Friese back in 8th across the finish line. Now in the semi the #61 had the power to get out of the gate as he proved in the heat race. Flying to the first turn he snatched the holeshot and put himself right out front in the semi. Unable to hang onto 1st place Bogle passed him again putting him in second. Before the race was over Wilson and Grant passed him send- ing him back to fourth, but still transferring to the main event. Looking
to get his third good start of the night Friese put himself into the top ten through the first turn of the main event. Running right around 7th during the first lap Friese needed to hang on and not fall back. Making subtle but costly mistakes the Honda rider was getting picked off by the other racers. By the halfway point, he was back in 15th. Fighting to not lose anymore positions Friese was frustrated trying to hold on to the finish. Near the end of the race Weimer grabbed the pass on him. Vince Friese finished off the main event in 17th for the night.
