>> Each round of Supercross you can catch Nick Schmidt with a smile on his face happy to be at the races doing what he loves. Thriving to be his best at each round the young rider has only missed two main events of the eleven
so far. Working each race to improve his results just getting into the main has been a feat in itself. For round eleven in Indy the Suzuki rider qualified 20th into the night-show. Racing out of the gate for the first 450 heat race of the night Schmidt was in 10th. He held onto this position all the way to finish moving onto the semi’s. Not getting the jump he needed for the start of the semi he was back in 7th place; a couple spots away from transferring. Riding hard Schmidt made a pass into 6th place and only needed one more to make the main event. But before he knew it the time was up and he was going to be racing in the last chance qualifier. Getting a fourth place start he was in qualifying position, but he was not satisfied and immediately began to work his way through the riders in front of him. Hastily making his way into second the #75 crossed the finish
in second and was on to the main event. As the gate dropped the Suzuki rider put the power to the ground through to the first turn putting himself right into 17th. As the other riders got in there grooves Schmidt fell back to 21st. Once there Shmidt would cruise through to the finish with a 21st overall for the night in Indianapolis.
