>> All everyone thinks when they hear Jerry Robins name is “that guy who qualified for Loretta’s on a 30+year bike”. Yes that is true and yes that is impressive but a lot has happened since then. Jerry got deals with amateur support teams, hes lost deals with teams, he quit racing motocross and tried a run at GNCC Racing and then he ended up re- turning to motocross and supercross. On top of all that Jerry has lost a good friend and roomate (Ride In Peace Dylan Slusser). Jerry has got permission from Dylans mom to use Dylans race number #558 and Robin is looking to do it proud. The Blue Buffalo/ Slator Skins Yamaha rider just got his required points from the Ricky Carmichaels Road 2 Supercross series and made his debut a weekend ago in Daytona. Jerry had a great run in his first appearance in the supercross series, qualifying directly out of his heat race to the main. The only thing dif- ferent from last weekend to this weekend is that Jerry got a good start in his heat race at Daytona and in Indianapolis he starts on the outside of the top ten and made his way to 8th. I think its safe to say that the speed is there, staying off the ground will be mission number two.
The main event went as bad as it could’ve for Jerry at round 5, which would be his round 2. Four rounds remain in the 2017 season and Robins always seems to have a breakout ride no matter what class or the field. Hopefully it comes sooner than later and he can keep the ball rolling.
