As the number 51 returns to action this weekend in Santa Clara, Barcia has opted to
change up his look, in hopes of new beginnings. The barbaric looking beard he once
carried is now obsolete, and a sleek baby face is in tact to aid his aerodynamics.
He’s striving for a major rebound on this stop of the tour; as last year, the latter California round wasn’t too kind to him. After obtaining a holeshot and a brief lead, mistakes dropped him to a measly 16th position.
With the pirates of Silicon Valley trying their damnedest to steal his thunder yet again in 2016, Barcia’s hoping to crack the code and regain his glory from season’s past. Rev limiter and all, he’s heading to the bay with
revenge at the forefront of his agenda.
