The Motoconcepts team had an idea prior to the race of running an all denim setup in honor of the stadiums owner’s, Levi Strauss & Co. Choosing not only to run a slim, boot cut work jean, but a crisp jacket to match as well, they wanted to really stand
out from the competition and relate to more to the working class man.
All jokes aside, the SmartTop team has done a phenomenal job promoting their setup and way of doing things, and Mike Alessi can take some credit for that. The number 800 has stuck with his camp through it all, regardless of either right or wrong, and has prevailed in the end.
Mike has never claimed to be a Supercross specialist, but you can’t knock him for lack of effort. The guy comes back every year, with all of the backlash and criticism placed aside, and gives full effort. Many say respect
is earned through hard work, and Alessi is gaining that each weekend he steps foot on the course.
