A clasp of the hands, a breath on the palms, shake em up, roll the dice, and Mike Alessi emerges yet again with the 1,000th holeshot of his career. If he could only keep that mentality for an entire race; unfortunately by lap three he had already fallen to third, and had bad company banging on his door. The laps seemed like quicksand, slowly dragging on and draining the energy of the number 800, but he continued to squirm and fight relentlessly. Luckily he would only succumb to Chad Reed, taking fourth, and the final transfer to the main event.
