As the heat kicked off, Harrison held third place behind a battle between Osborne and Martin. As the race got into its third lap, Harrison tries to catch up to Martin while holding off Oldenburg who puts pressure on behind him. Before the third lap is over, Cooper Webb jumps into the heat of it, pushing past Harrison who clips the finish line jump at the end of
the third lap. After his teammate Webb made his move, Harrison slipped back into fourth, still maintaining a qualifying position in the final lap. As the checkered flag comes out, Harrison finishes fourth, edging out Smith and Oldenburg. Harrison explodes on to the track in the main event – stealing second place and moving to put pressure on the leader, Osborne. Harrison holds on to his second place as the racers settle in after the chaos, Harrison rides only two seconds behind Osborne as the points championship leaders begin to close in on the top two riders in the fifth lap.
In lap six, both Martin and Webb passed Harrison. He manages to hold on to fourth place – now fighting pressure from Savtagy who is not far behind him. A deep pass by Craig and a bang-up leaves Harrison down in lap 8 and trapped be- neath his bike. This mishap leaves Harrison in sixteenth place, and then dropping to 21st, not the ending he was looking for in his night. Despite the results on paper, this evening Harrison made a point that he has the skill to compete with the top riders in the 250 class.
