In the heat Christian Craig finds himself battling with the two Pro Circuit riders Chris Alldredge and Savatgy for the top spots right out of the gate. Craig immediately begins to put pressure on Alldredge and manages a smooth pass in the second lap. He quickly refocuses his attention on to race leader Savatgy, who is a second ahead of him. Craig moves smoothly
through the track, quickly gaining on Savatgy with consistent and fast riding. As the heats winds down to its final two laps, Savatgy begins to pull away from Craig. Craig would finish the heat nipping at the heels of Savatgy, for a solid second place.
Craig gets pinched into the chaotic start of the main event, getting swept into the middle of the mess. By the third lap he
has moved his way up to eighth behind Savatgy. Craig moves up into seventh in the fourth lap. Craig starts a battle with Cunningham in the fifth lap and quickly moves up into sixth. After making his way around Cunningham, Craig has to find a way around Savatgy. Craig makes an aggressive pass around Harrison in the eighth – he quickly makes his way around Martin, grabbing fourth place with five laps to go. As the race creeps closer to its conclusion, Craig has a big gap between himself and Savatgy in third place – a gap he couldn’t quite close. Craig narrowly misses the podium with a fourth place finish.
