As the gate hits the dirt in the 450 heat, Justin Brayton starts off the race in fifth behind Hansen. Not long into the race, both Hansen and Justin Bogle put serious pressure on Brayton. At the halfway point, Brayton manages to get by Hansen for the final transfer spot, but only a few laps later, Brayton finds himself battling viciously with Bogle. Brayton worked to keep Bogle off his rear tire, while Eli Tomac raises the heat as he joins the party. Bogle manages to make a clean pass around Brayton, who doesn’t quite get his spot back
and finds himself taking trip to the semis.
Justin Brayton is bent on making it to the main, and he brings the heat off the starting gate. Sliding into second behind Josh Grant, Brayton holds steady and begins to reel in the leader. With only a second separating himself from the leader, Brayton is on a mission to take over the lead. By the final lap less than a second separates Grant and Justin Brayton, but Brayton can’t quite overcome him – taking second and making it to the main.
