>> Tina Carter had a solid week of results at the 2017 JS7 Free- stone Spring Championship. The rider out of Jeffersonville, Indiana contested the Women (12+) class, the Junior (25+) class, and the Women’s Vet class -- finishing tenth overall, ninth overall, and first overall, respectively. She was the oldest rider in the Women (12+) class at thirty-four years old, but she didn’t let that affect her as she mixed it up with the young guns and put in respectable finishes throughout both motos. Carter looked good on her Honda through- out all three of her classes, but it was the Women’s Vet class where she really stood out from the competition. She commanded the lead in both motos as she jumped out of the gate to the holeshot, im- mediately setting a fast pace from the front of the field in each moto with the fastest lap time of the race. Carter kept her lap times rela- tively consistent all the way until the checkered flag as she was able to secure both victories with a sizable advantage back to second place on her way to the title.
