>> Jalek Swoll had an unbelievable week of racing at the 2017 JS7 Freestone Spring Championship. The Florida native won every single moto that he contested throughout the week of racing as he made a statement on his Rockstar Energy backed Husqvarna ma- chine. Swoll contested the 125cc (12-16) class as well as the Schoolboy 1 (12-16) class in the Lone Star State -- and he was certainly alone at the front of the field for the majority of the races. In the opening 125cc moto, Swoll got out to an early lead ahead of Oklahoma’s Jesse Flock and was able to resist immense amounts of pressure from the Yamaha rider. The pair of them separated themselves from the pack as they kept their lap times within tenths of one another, but the Floridian used his superior race craft in order to defend
the main line and hold on for the win. In the second moto, he put himself in the position
to snag the overall directly from the gate drop as he shot out to an early lead ahead of a charging group of Yamahas. Swoll kept his composure and was the only rider to consis- tently lap in the 2:07 second range in the early stages of the race, consequently building a gap of more than five seconds ahead of his closest competitors. From that point onward, the Rockstar Husqvarna rider kept his cool and cruised to the checkered flag in calculated fashion, taking the moto win and the overall victory in the process. The Schoolboy 1 class provided more of the same for the Florida native as he sped down the start straight to an early advantage in the opening moto, providing himself with a clear track yet again. Swoll was able to utilize the open track ahead of him and consistently lay down the fastest laps of the race, one after another, on his way to another flawless victory. He oozed style on the motorcycle, putting his Husqvarna wherever he wanted it at any point on the track, putting himself in an optimal position for another overall victory as he crossed the finish line in
first place. In the second moto, he set himself up in prime position for the overall victory as he shot out to an early lead ahead of Hardy Munoz and Flock. Swoll hammered down throughout the early stages of the race and built a gap of approximately five seconds by the halfway point, putting him in the position to cruise to the checkered flag. Although he has the raw speed to battle with anyone in the class, his consistent starts throughout the week were the real secret to his success. He led the race from start to finish and set the fastest laptime of the moto on the penultimate lap, proving himself as a worthy champion on the way to his second number one plate.
