>> Coming into the round of Budd’s Creek, Michael Mosiman appeared ready, willing, and able to place his best foot forward. In the week’s prior, both he and team had assessed their performance thus far this season, realizing what was needed in order to improve. Throughout his time of preparation, starts were mastered, nutrition was dialed in, and miles upon miles were logged on the road bike, in order to create a solid systematic approach, as August 18th rolled into the immediate horizon. He knew he’d done all he could as he awoke and suited up for the rst round of practice, knowing that it was now time to put his nose to the grindstone. Throughout quali cation, he could be found swooping outside in, as the track had been heavily doused with water, in preparation for the temperatures the latter hours would bring. Coming
in for a brief conversation with his mechanic, he felt he could be a tad quicker in the nish line section, focusing now on landing with a penetrative attitude, into the following left and right hand sequence. It would work, as by the time the nal bell had rang out, his position aboard the grid would improve, and he was well on his way to a solid gate choice. For moto number one, the eld was stretched out from border to border, as they almost came to a halt in turn one. Rocking and rolling through the left-handed roller section, he hovered near the sixth posi- tion on lap number one. Dropping in and out of these serious elevation changes, he began to locate Joey Savatgy as they approached the Red Bull Launch, the two nearly connected with a magnetic vector of some sort. With opposite ends attracting, it was his rear fender, along with the opposition’s front plastic that couldn’t seem to separate. However, he would begin to etch away ever so slightly, the footpeg nearly being caught in the right-hander after the FLY Racing triple. His position was solidi ed by the time the white ag came out, indicating just one more round would place him in the eighth place ride. Looking to duplicate his efforts for the second round, he came soaring by the mechanics area in the early laps, relishing near the ninth place position. Never one to falter under pressure, he began to stack consecutive solid circuits. Leading to the gapping of Aaron Plessinger; he knew he was pulling, as a subtle look over his left shoulder while ying down the Lucas Oil Drop, showed that the margin between the two would lengthen. He would continue this pace to the dyer end, coming across the stripe in ninth strong enough for tenth overall.
