Sipes is only racing one Pro- National this year compared to past years where he has raced a couple since retiring. Sipes races Grand National Cross Country full time and will not be able to race multiple Pro-Nationals like years past. Coming to High Point to have fun and see old moto friends Sipes qualified 10th. With a solid start to the day Ryan took the 15th spot for the holeshot in moto number one of the 450 class. Riding steadily, consistent and most of all having fun Sipes gained one position and crossed the finish line in 14th. As the 250 race was underway Sipes took a break to recooperate and prepare himself for his second race of the day. Sun glar- ing down on the riders, the gate is dropped and the holeshot
is underway. In the dead center of the pack sipes is trapped in 22nd as they head into the first sweeper. Using his skills and experience Ryan rails the ruts as the track deteriorates under- neath his tires. Passing rider after rider the veteran gains 15th place. White flag is flown and Sipes rides the last lap with ease and finishes strong. For his first and only race of the year Sipes takes 15th place overall and will settle back into GNCC racing after High Point.
