city is also known for its beaches and hot
springs. We visit the Haedong Yonggungsa
Buddhist temple, built in 1376 and restored
in 1970. In April, when the cherry trees are in
bloom, it is one of the most beautiful of Busan.

its surroundings which have been restored
to cope with the dramatic conditions of the
Korean War refugees during the 1960s. Today
it has become an important point of cultural
interest and the location of many Korean
