This asynchronous self-paced online training will introduce you to the basics of using Canvas to build your course. Join us for a hands-on and interactive workshop and discover the basic principles of video editing. Learn to work with digital video cameras and SD cards. Edit content with iMovie© to create compelling movies complete with voice-overs, transitions, titles, graphics, music and more !

AFFINITY—A REAL ALTERNATIVE TO ADOBE
Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign have been essential tools for doing real design work for a very long time, but Adobe’s all-or-nothing pricing model makes it hard to be enthusiastic about it.The Affinity Suite provides us with a real alternative to Adobe’s design suite. Come see if a smaller, cheaper, more focused application suite can work for you.

SUMMER RETREAT FOR ONLINE AND BLENDED COURSE DESIGN
Let’s set aside a few days in May to design a course for blended or fully online delivery. Guides for best practices, design consultation, skill training and resources will be provided. The outcome includes a course framework with instruction and learning activities for the first 3 weeks of a class and a companion syllabus.

A CIT staff member will meet with faculty or staff individually in the comfort of their own office or in one of the CIT office locations. Faculty and staff can use this time to apply concepts learned in workshops or other events. CIT Instructional Designers are available for in- depth consultations on course redesign and technology integration.
