KFC Promoting Three New Gravy-infused Cocktails
By Michelle Gant | Fox News
Can’t get enough of KFC’s gravy? Well, thanks to the chicken chain’s latest marketing cam- paign, you’ve now got a whole new way to enjoy their savory sauce.
The fast-food restaurant just released a video featuring three cocktail recipes designed around their famous gravy. You read that right. These “stock-tails” offer a boozy drinkable twist on their thick meaty condiment.
There’s been a growing trend for stock-tails, using broth in cocktails, over the last cou- ple of years. “Bartenders are stirring and shak-
ing animal stock and bone broth into cocktails served warm and chilled to add a new savory ele- ment to seasonal drinking,” accord- ing to a feature from Liquor.com o n the trendy drink.
KFC cooked up three varieties of this new kind of drink: the Gravy Mary, Southern Twist and Fingerlickin’ Sour, with the tagline “Gravy so good you can drink it.”
“Our fans repeat- edly express their love for our gravy, which always sparks ideas with- in the team. We know our gravy is good enough to drink – so with 'stock-tails' being a real hit at the moment, what better ingredient
to take them to the next level?” Marion Racine, marketing manag- er at KFC UK & Ireland, told The Independent.
Not everyone seems sold on the idea, howev- er.
“[You’re] insane,” one commenter wrote.
“KFC you have officially lost it,” another added.
“I’m confused,” another user wrote.
If you’re curious how these cock- tails actually take, KFC provided step-by-step instructions and recipes for all three drinks so you can try them out for yourself.
MaineGroupRaisingMoney For Pony’s Penis Surgery
By CBS 13
A pony in Bridgton is living a life no animal should have to, and a rescue shelter is hoping to change that.
Almost a month ago, the animal rescue unit of Bridgton took in 15-year-old Richard from a horse dealer out of Charleston, Maine.
A doctor at the Third Coast Equine Veterinary Services says Richard has can- cer in his penis that’s been left untreated.
Brogan Horton, who’s been car- ing for Richard
for a few weeks now, says his sit- uation is becom- ing worse.
“Unfortunately, the amount of drainage that’s coming out of all the different holes in the organ just drain out onto his back legs and freeze,” Horton said.
The pain is unbearable, which is why vol- unteers are hop- ing to raise money for sur- gery using the online fundrais- ing website YouCaring.com.
“We’re trying to take off inches of ugly mass that have been basi- cally left on to fester,” Horton
said. “We’re going to take that off and basically create a new lit- tle Richard for him.”
The $3,000 pro- cedure will be the difference between life or death for the pony.
Brogan says without it they’ll have to eutha- nize Richard because it’s no way to live.
“Normally we don’t do this, that’s a really high expense for one horse, but he suffered for so long he deserves some time when he’s not suffering,” Horton said.
