Bride Presents "Proof Of Virginity" To Father on Wedding Day

(RNN) - One woman took saving herself for marriage to another level, and presented her father with a certificate of purity on her wedding day.
At age 13, Breyln Freeman promised her father, Dr. Mike Freeman, who is a pas- tor, that she would remain pure until mar- riage.
In honor of her promise, Breyln Freeman and her now husband Timothy Brown decided to
make that commitment together.
The young 20-something couple had their picture- perfect wedding on Oct. 10, and their story has been widely shared on social media.
Breyln posted on Instagram, “Dancing with my first love! I was able to present a certificate of purity to him signed by my doctor that my hymen was still intact. Also the covenant he gave me when I was 13. When you honor God,
your life will automatical- ly honor others! I love you daddy.”
Many people who com- mented on Breyln’s post supported her deci- sion, while others could- n’t believe she chose to get a certificate and share the information online.
"I love what you pro-
mote. Celibacy until mar- riage. But I wish your message was education- al as well. Though not common, your hymen can tear without it being penetrated during sexual intercourse. Just an FYI," one commenter wrote.
Another commenter wrote, “The problem is placing that type of infor-
mation online. That should have been something private.”
Dr. Mike Freeman post- ed a pic with his daughter and ques- tioned how they could receive such a negative response.
“Who knew that a pic like this would get so much negativity but a natural man will not understand things of the Spirit for they are foolishness to them!!!” he wrote.
The newlyweds are now enjoying their hon- eymoon, but Breyln had a few more words to say.
She wrote, “Apparently
some people on social media are trying to decide if they like or don’t like my commit- ment of waiting/present- ing a certificate to my dad. I started to want to explain/go in depth then I looked to my right my husband is swimming in the pool. I looked ahead & saw the Indian Ocean. So while they’re deciding I’ll enjoy the promises of God for my life!”
