There was a man who had four sons. He want- ed his sons to learn to... Not judge things too quickly!!!
So he sent them each on a quest, in turn, to go and look at trees in the forest That was a great distance away!!!
The youngest son in the fall!!! the second in the spring, the third in sum- mer, The first son went in the winter,
When they had all gone and come back, What they had seen!!! he called them together to describe
The first son said, The tree was ugly, bent, and twisted!!!
The second son said, No, it was covered with green buds and full of promise!!!
The third son said, it was the most graceful thing
he had ever seen!!! It was laden with blossoms that smelled so sweet and looked so beautiful,
The last son said, No, it was ripe and drooping with fruit, full of life and fulfillment!!!
The man then explained to his sons, You are all right, because you had each seen... But only one season in the tree’s life!!!
If you give up when it’s winter, You will miss the promise of your spring, the beauty of your sum- mer, fulfillment of your fall!!! The 1st lesson of this story is...
Don’t let the pain of one season destroy the joy of all the rest. Don't judge life by one difficult season!!! Persevere throughout the difficult patches!!! And better times are sure to come some time later!!!
It will bring us to our BETTER TOMORROW!!!
Yes, there is something that we can learn from our past. But it is TODAY that matters most because...You cannot judge a tree, or a per- son, by only one season, And that the essence of who they are... And the pleasure, joy, and love that come from that life can only be measured at the end, When all the Seasons are up!!!
The 2nd lesson of this story is.... In order to know a person, We have to be open to accepting the person for who he is TODAY!!! and not let their past... be a deter- minant of their present!!! We have to give that person a chance, a huge, HUGE chance!!!
If a person’s life is made up of seasons, shouldn’t we allow ourselves to let all the seasons unfold so that we can see the beauty of that person? God Bless you and keep you in his care through all the seasons of your life!!!
