Tom had been in the liquor business for 25 years. Finally, sick of the stress, he quits his job and buys 50 acres of land in Alaska, as far from humanity as possible. He sees the postman once a week and gets groceries once a month. Otherwise it's total peace and quiet.
After six months or so of almost total isolation, someone knocks on his door. He opens it, and a huge, bearded man is standing there.
"Name's Lars, your neigh- bor from forty miles up the road. Having a Christmas party Friday night, thought you might like to come. About 5:00."
"Great", says Tom, "after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local folks. Thank you."
As Lars is leaving, he stops. "Gotta warn you ... be some drinkin."
"Not a problem" says Tom. "After 25 years in the business, I can drink with the best of 'em."
Again, the big man starts to leave and stops. "More 'n' likely gonna be some fightin' too."
"Well, I get along with people, I'll be all right. I'll be there, thanks again."
"More'n likely be some wild sex, too."
"Now that's really not a problem," says Tom, warming to the idea. "I've been all alone for six months! I'll definitely be there. By the way, what should I wear?"
"Don't much matter ... just gonna be the two of us."
An elderly couple take an anniversary cruise...
On the first morning, they're at breakfast. The bride of fifty years leans over the table and says "honey, my nipples are still burnin' for you like the first time we met."
The old man, without skip- ping a beat, says "well baby, that's because one of them is in the oatmeal and the other one's hang- ing in the coffee!"
This rooster wakes up early Easter Sunday morning. He sticks his head out of the chicken coop, and sees all these multicolored eggs all over the barnyard.
He takes a look at the eggs, takes a look at the hens, takes another look at the eggs, takes one more look at the hens, he thinks about it for a minute, then he walks across the barnyard and kicks the shit out of the peacock.
Father in a conversation with a neighbor...
First son: Degree in Economics Second son: MBA Third son: PhD Fourth son: Thief
Neighbor: Why can't you throw the fourth son out of your house?
Father: He is the only one earning money. The rest are unemployed.
Sometimes when I'm driv- ing, I know I want to change lanes. I'm just not sure which lane I want. So I turn on my hazard lights.
I may be going left, I may be going right ... either way, you have been warned.
Each Friday night after work, Bubba would fire up
his outdoor grill and cook a venison steak. But, all of Bubba's neighbors were Catholic.... and since it was Lent, they were for- bidden from eating meat on Friday.
The delicious aroma from the grilled venison steaks was causing such a prob- lem for the Catholic faithful that they finally talked to their priest. The Priest came to visit Bubba, and suggested that he become Catholic. After several classes and much study, Bubba attended Mass.....and as the Priest sprinkled holy water over him, he said, "You were born a Baptist, and raised a Baptist, but now you are a Catholic."
Bubba's neighbors were greatly relieved, until Friday night arrived and the wonderful aroma of grilled venison filled the neighborhood. The Priest was called immediately by the neighbors, and as he rushed into Bubba's yard, clutching a rosary and pre- pared to scold him, he stopped and watched in amazement. There stood Bubba, clutching a small bottle of holy water which he carefully sprinkled over the grilling meat as he chanted:
"You wuz born a deer, you wuz raised a deer, but now you is a catfish."
A driver tucked this note under the windshield wiper of his automobile. "I've cir- cled the block for 20 min- utes. I'm late for an appointment, and if I don't park here I'll lose my job. Forgive us our trespass- es." When he came back he found a parking ticket and this note: "I've circled the block for 20 years, and if I don't give you a ticket, I'll lose my job. Lead us not into temptation."
