Man Tries to Open Bank Account With Fake
$1M Bill
By Associated Press,
LINCOLN, NEB. (AP) — Police are searching for a man who walked into a Lincoln bank this week and tried to open a checking account with a fake $1 million bill.
Staff at the Pinnacle Bank branch reported
the Monday morning incident to police. The Lincoln Journal Star reports that bank employees say the man adamantly claimed the bill was real despite tellers' attempts to convince him it was fake.
The man eventu- ally left with the bill, but without a new account.
Police are review- ing surveillance video to try to identify the man. Police say they want to check on his welfare and make sure he was not the victim of a crime.
The largest denomination note ever issued for public circula- tion was the $10,000 bill.
Horse Plays Dead Every Time Someone Tries To Ride Him
By Richard Hartley- Parkinson
This horse is a very good actor. Every time someone tries to ride him he appears to give up the ghost and drops to the floor pretending to be dead.
Jingang has got the death trick down so well that he even loosens his tongue and puts
his hooves in weird positions to make it look like he can go on no longer.
His owners say it happens whenever peo- ple get onto the saddle.
A man at the ranch who is try- ing to teach Jingang how to take people for rides around the Korean country- side said that it was ‘cute but
naughty.’
He only stays on the ground for a few seconds but the moment anyone starts approaching to get on him again he drops back to the floor.
One person who viewed the video said: ‘He’s not lazy, he’s smart. Why carry such a heavy load when you can get away with it.
