Man Singing Garth Brooks Song For 36 Hours
By Ben Hooper
Oct. 3 (UPI) -- A Washington state karaoke host is raising money for breast cancer aware- ness by singing the same Garth Brooks song for 36 hours straight.
Cliff Satterwhite, a Seattle-area karaoke host, said he is raising money for the Real Men Wear Pink breast can- cer awareness campaign and marking October's Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hold-
ing a one-man 36-hour karaoke session with "Friends in Low Places" as the only song.
This will mark Satterwhite's fourth marathon karaoke fundraiser.
"My attempt will feature one singer, one song, no sleep breaks and only a 2-5 minute break between songs for water, food and bath- room, that's real- ly what sets it apart," he told KCPQ-TV. "The last three years have taught me
so much in terms of prepa- ration, pace and when and what to eat. I've learned those are all key fac- tors in the suc- cess of this event."
The goal of the attempt, which began Tuesday at Stars Bar and Grill in Federal Way and is scheduled to end around noon Wednesday, is to raise at least $10,000 for the breast cancer awareness cam- paign.
CoupleCaught CarryingBody Parts in Baby Stroller Accused of Killing Up To 20 Women
When police offi- cers looked into a baby carriage, instead of a sleeping tyke they found human remains.
A couple in Mexico City, which cops refused to identi- fy, was busted on Monday for the murders of up to 20 victims, reported ABC13 Eyewitness News.
Alejandro Gomez, the chief prosecutor of Mexico State, claimed the sus- pected male killer seemed proud of his heinous handi- work. It is believed he suf- fers from a per- sonality disorder.
“What seemed macabre to me
is that this per- son mentioned 10 cases in which he gives details, the names of the victims; he gave us the clothing they had on at the time,” said Gomez. “He seemed happy about what he had done.”
It remains unclear what kind of relation- ship the suspect shared with his female criminal partner, who allegedly assist- ed luring women to him.
Cops caught them on Oct. 4 exiting a house with the carriage full of grisly plas- tic bags packed with human remains, which they intended to dump into a
nearby vacant lot.
More body parts were found in the space, and police claim the pair had dumped remains there on at least one previous occasion.
Gomez stated the male admit- ted to sexually assaulting some of the victims before murder- ing them. Most of the young women were single mothers who were enticed the notion of inex- pensive baby clothing.
The pair also confessed to selling one of the murder vic- tim’s 2-month- old baby.
