Man Visits Numbers Of Places With Rude Names All Over The World
Emma Albert
A man has gone on the ultimate nasty journey, vis- iting hundreds of locations through- out the world with derogatory names.
Nicholas Hale has spent the last 26 years traveling the world search- ing for the most hilariously cheeky destinations, like F***ing in Austria (now called
Fugging) and Clit in Romania and W*** Mountain in Germany and Turkey C**k Lane right here in the UK.
The 50-year-infat- uation old's began when he was a boy and was driven through Wetwang, a vil- lage near his home in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
Since then, the singer and come- dian have utilized his employment as a cruise ship entertainer to travel to some of the world's most inhospitable loca- tions.
Nick travels by any means required to achieve his objec- tive, many of which are in obscure and remote spots around Europe.
Nick stated: "It's a pitiful preoccupa- tion, but I believe everyone can identify to some extent. When most people encounter a derogatory loca- tion name, they have a childish chuckle to them- selves.
"Some of the sites I go on a specific trip to, others I research once I know
where I'm going with work, and still others I hap- pen to come across by coinci- dence. For me, the most critical factor is the determination to succeed.
"They can be in extremely remote locations, fully secluded, and dif- ficult to get, but I'll do whatever it takes. Some of them are particu- larly difficult to
locate because residents are con- stantly stealing or destroying the signs."
He continued, saying: "People in so many of these places complain when they see house prices decline because of the street or village name, which is ridicu- lous because I'm sure they could profit from it.
"My entire family is a comic. Therefore I was raised in a light- hearted, cheerful, and fun environ- ment. I believe my mother is occasionally ashamed about what her friends may think of her.
"It's certainly rather infantile, and some people might think 'get a life,' but there's nothing wrong with being a little goofy now and then."
