Man Breaks World Record For Tortilla Stacking
A world record was broken Friday evening for stacking tor- tillas in Evansville.
The record for the tallest stack of tortillas was broken by Dr. Mark Valenzuela of Evansville.
This was his second attempt at the record. It took him three hours to tie the record of 69 centimeters.
He not only broke the record
but then set a new record of 75 centimeters before his tower fell.
The world record attempt was apart of the University of Evansville's Change Fest, which is meant to support pro- grams that bring positive change to the world.
"It doesn't matter if you want to be a doctor, engi- neer, lawyer, teacher, whatev- er, you're a citi-
zen," said Associate Director of Center for Innovation and Change Erin Lewis. "Let's learn how to apply your degree to the real world, to helping people. And also, it's okay to fail. It's okay to try and do strange things."
The event also had salsa dance lessons and pinatas for the students.
Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Beaver Dying On Road

A Washington state man was arrested this week for sexu- ally assaulting a beaver, which had been lay- ing in the road — dying — after getting run over by a car, a report says.
Richard Delp, 35, was taken into custody on Monday night not long after the alleged incident in Columbia Park,
according to KVEW.
A witness told the station that she caught Delp in the act while attempt- ing to rescue his furry victim.
She said she saw the beaver get nailed by a vehicle, and was on her way back to the scene with a container to put it in.
When she got back 30 min- utes later, Delp
was on top of the mortally wounded critter — pants unzipped with a pocket full of meth, accord- ing to police.
The woman called 911 and officers eventu- ally showed up to arrest Delp. He was later charged with animal cruelty and possession of methamphet- amine. The beaver did not survive.
