GIVEN THE WIDESPREAD cancellation and rescheduling of large scale events and gatherings, local and international, we thought it useful to highlight the changes to some of key industry events.

• Fieldays – As early as 17 March,
Fieldays Society made the call to “postpone” Fieldays 2020. Originally scheduled for 10-13 June 2020, it is thought unlikely that an alternative date in 2020 will be feasible.

• BuildLink – is year’s BuildLink Conference & Trade Show was to be held in Tauranga over 20-21 May but has now been cancelled. A 2021 date

Sika goes live with
new website
With the tagline “Build it to last”, Sika New Zealand’s brand new, multi-platform, search-friendly, time-saving website is now live.
It’s modern looking, searchable, responsive across a range of viewing
devices, and, from what we can see it’s somewhat unique amongst Sika’s sites worldwide.

Movers & shakers
Not much moving & shaking this month, except to say that Winstone Wallboards has now announced that David Christensen has been appointed
to the role of National Sales & Channel Manager.
David replaces Jerry Hirst (photo right) who
will be leaving later in the year, after taking David through “an extensive induction programme”.
The company says: “David brings with him a wealth of experience and senior leadership in the building industry,” his current role being General Manager Sales & Marketing at Carter Holt Harvey Wood Products.
Having led Winstone Wallboards’ sales team for almost 20 years before spending two and a half years as GM Sales & Marketing at ITM, Jerry rejoined Winstone Wallboards in 2018 on an interim basis
as National Sales & Channel Manager following the resignation of Bryan Young.
