Aussies achieve world TIMBERSPORTS double
AUSTRALIA’S CHOPPEROOS SCORED a
double win for the second year in row at this year’s STIHL TIMBERSPORT Team World Championship in Prague this month.
In the team event, in front of a crowd of 2,500+ raucous fans, an exhilarating Team Relay Event saw the Chopperoos just pip New Zealand to the title.
The New Zealand team comprised Bobby (Robert) Dowling, Shane and Jack Jordan, Kyle Lemon and Kahu Wooley, with Team USA beating Poland, the highest placed European team, for third.
Reflecting on what might have been, Kyle Lemon adds: “Ideally first place would’ve been the way to go, but it wasn’t to be. Regardless, it was the best crowd I’ve performed
in front of in the seven or eight years I’ve been coming. Absolutely awesome!”
