The judges said of this bright young Group Inventory & Merchandising Manager: “Our winner has an impressive whole of business outlook. He is confident, considered and committed but most impressive was that, although he has one eye firmly on the bottom line, this is not to the detriment of customer experience.”
A second-time-around Finalist, in the last year Hayden has grown and matured as a young retailer and is to be congratulated for his initiatives. Working with a team that “doesn’t accept mediocre”, like his fellow Mitre 10 MEGA Dunedin Finalist, Hayden is a keeper, one for the future, a bright young talent to be nurtured and encouraged.
How does it feel to be the winner? Hayden says: “I feel extremely proud and humbled to have won this award. I’ve always given 100% in my career and for that to be recognised by New Zealand’s top retail award I feel truly honoured.”
