Bunnings opens ninth Trade Centre
HOT ON THE heels of the opening of its new Invercargill Trade Centre in January, Bunnings last month opened another in Pukekohe.
With the closure of the tiny, outdated Bunnings store on Manukau Road, Pukekohe’s DIYers may now have to travel a bit further – to Bunnings Warehouse Takanini in fact – but they’ll be getting a vastly better experience and far wider choice.
Also better off are the local tradies working in the busy areas around the Auckland-Waikato border, who now have their very own Bunnings Trade Centre at 5 Crosbie Road, Pukekohe (photo above).
Bunnings’ ninth nationwide, the new Pukekohe Trade Centre represents an investment of over $6.5 million, says the company, and all existing team members have transferred across from the old store.
Spanning approximately 4,000m2, the new Trade Centre features a fully undercover trade drive-through, as well as 20+ onsite car parks, and offers a wide range of products with departments such as paint, power tools, safety and PPE, site consumables, as well as a special orders desk where tradies can order products from the wider Bunnings Trade range, including spare parts and custom products.
Trade customers will also have access to a wide range of services including delivery direct to site, install services, and access to a Bunnings Trade Account Manager and the PowerPass program.
Pukekohe Trade Centre Manager is Valerie Walker, a Pukekohe local and Bunnings team member for over eight years, who says: “We’ve been servicing trade customers at the existing Pukekohe store for a long time, so we are looking forward to providing them a stronger commercial offer that better suits their needs.
“We also know the Trade Centre will be well placed to support the increased commercial and residential building activity in the area.”
