Hansa Products has been working hard to recover from the February fire.
Meet “Bernie”, the C7 that rose from the ashes.

separate locations, going above and beyond to help during the logistics and clean-up phases to the personal support and time they sacrificed for HANSA – an amazing team for which we are so grateful,” he says.
A few days after the fire, HANSA welcomed Grant Edwards to the team as the new Operations Manager overseeing production, procurement, and logistics at the Hamilton head office.
“It was a busy time for the whole team, but Grant came onboard and from day one has been key to our rapid rebuild, we are fortunate to have him” says Martin Vogel.
Recently moving from a part-time into a full-time role, HANSA also has a new HR Manager, Chloe Joines, who joined the team part-time last year but, with a growing team, has now gone full-time and is busy recruiting people to join the #HANFAM, as the business goes from strength to strength.
Talking of the growing team, HANSA also has a new National Account Manager, with Brad Davis looking after the dealer network in New Zealand.
    THE HANSA PRODUCTION
team has a move home date.
Since the devasting February fire, the team at HANSA have been working across various locations in Hamilton to keep the supply of their wood chippers flowing.
After the fire, there wasn’t much left of the new purpose-built factory. So, from one day to the next, the HANSA team had to adapt – and adapt they did.
Within a few weeks, production was back up and running, thanks to the help and support of the local business community.
With demand for HANSA wood chippers at home and abroad growing, it was important to get back into production as soon as possible to keep back order volumes
at a manageable level and reduce lead times for customers.
Indeed, the production team despatched the first chipper just 10 days after the fire, a true testament to one of the company values #HANFAM (Hansa Family)
The support shown by HANSA dealers was also outstanding, with many messages of support and understanding that delivery dates would be affected.
“It was very humbling, so many people, dealers, customers and business partners reached out to us with messages of support” says Martin Vogel, owner of Hansa Products.
“Our team showed true team spirit. Kate and I are so thankful for all the amazing work our team have done, working in
New to the HANSA team (L-R): Brad Davis, Chloe Joines, and Grant Edwards.
Brad started with HANSA this May and has hit the ground running with many dealers having already met him as he makes his way around the country.
Most recently Brad attended the STIHL Interactive Days with a selection of HANSA wood chippers.
“Brad is a highly motivated and great person, with a background in outdoor power equipment. He knows first-hand all the daily challenges our dealers face from the retail front, and his customer focused approach, as well as his knowledge and expertise, make him the ideal person to support our dealers and customers across New Zealand” says Martin Vogel.
So, what’s next for HANSA? After moving back into the rear production space in August, the focus will be on completing the middle section of the building for 2023.
Be sure to visit HANSA at Fieldays in November to meet the #HANFAM. Another must-seeis“Bernie”,aC7theteammadefor Martin and Kate Vogel from parts rescued from the fire (see photo).
“We are excited about the upcoming Fieldays, it will be a very special moment for us, and we look forward to thanking everyone in person for their support and loyalty” says Martin Vogel.

Husqvarna expands Power for All Alliance partnership
WITH A STATED ambition to electrify 67 % of its motorised
products by 2026, Husqvarna Group’s largest division, Husqvarna Forest & Garden, has joined the Power for All Alliance. The alliance, founded by Bosch and Husqvarna Group through
its Gardena division in 2020, is one of the world’s largest cross- brand battery alliances, with 10 well-known manufacturers making battery-driven home and garden products that use the same Bosch-produced 18V battery system across multiple devices.
To date, over 25 million batteries supporting the Power for All Alliance have been sold globally.
With Husqvarna Group already into its own high performance 36V and 94V battery solutions, to continue to drive the consumer adoption of battery-powered products the group is also now using the Power for All 18V battery platform for “more cost optimized consumer solutions.”
“Our passion is to help consumers take care of their gardens in a smart, convenient and sustainable manner,” says Sofia Axelsson, President
Residential EPAC, Husqvarna Forest & Garden.
“For this simple reason, we are very happy to join this alliance, as we know many
consumers want one strong and reliable battery that they can use for several of their home and garden tools.
“One battery solution, as opposed to multiple ones, is better for the environment and also saves money for the consumer.”
Husqvarna is looking to launch a new range for garden owners within the coming year, which will be compatible with the Power for All battery system and sold through Husqvarna´s existing dealer network. No NZ-specific news on this so far.
