Steelfort has new some cool new products bearing the Worx brand this month.
First up is a trio of automowers called Landroid: the WR139E (180mm cutting width, for lawns up to 500m2); WR140E (180mm cutting width, for lawns up to 1,000m2); and WR150E (220mm cutting width, for lawns up to 1,500m2).
WR139E has a shareable 20V Max 2.0Ah Li-ion battery, while the two more powerful models WR150E and WR140E each have a 4.0Ah battery.
A boundary wire marks the territory to be cut, all have a Cut-to-Edge feature and are fully configurable, with programmable working hours, the ability to cope with slopes up to 20° and an auto charge function which returns the unit to base.
Also aimed at the outdoors is a clever device called Hydroshot (WG625E), a highly portable low pressure washer
driven by a POWERSHARE
20V Max 2.0Ah Li-ion battery that’s usefully interchangeable with other Worx power tools.
Delivering 320psi / 22 bar (still 10 times more pressure than a garden hose), you get 16 minutes’ run time from this compact, lightweight (1.65 kg) device with its 5-in-1 nozzle, long lance and 6m water hose. Steelfort, www.steelfort.co.nz,

   Lighten up
Signify / Philips Lighting has released a series of dimmable LED bulbs called EyeComfort, which have been designed to minimise flicker, glare, stroboscopic effects, and maximise photobiological safety, tuning and colour rendering – all factors that can impact the comfort of your eyes.
EyeComfort bulbs are also tunable so you can adjust their colour temperature – cool and bright for the morning or cozy and dim for the night time.
Controlling the colour and intensity of lighting over the course of the day can improve sleep patterns, which can be critical to well-being and health and that’s the USP of this new range.

Brilliant Lighting has launched a range of home automation products including the Smart Dimmer Mech.
Designed to make any dimmable downlights, switches or lights in your home smart, all you need is a Wi-Fi connection and the free BrilliantSmart app – no hub required.
The compact dimmer fits conveniently behind existing light switch plates, adding the ability to control lighting via voice using Google Home or Amazon Alexa or manually. Using the BrilliantSmart app, you can also connect your lights to other devices, for example to a motion sensor.
In most cases, installation is quick and easy, perfect for new and retro- fit installations and compatible with most LEDs.
Brilliant will be expanding its smart range to include even more electrical and security products over the coming months, so stay tuned. Brilliant Lighting, www.brilliantlighting.com.au, 00613 97 65 25 55
