“resimercial” operation
In advance of the main store’s opening, Vinod Kumar’s Nido home furnishing venture has launched a commercial furniture and interiors division.
Called Nido@work, the new division will carry thousands of European and locally sourced designer commercial furniture products targeting businesses
ranging from SMEs through to large-scale corporates and Government departments.
Led by Paulette Redstone (see photo), Nido@work is operating from a temporary showroom at Unit 4, 91 Central Park Drive, Henderson, West Auckland but will occupy 1,800m2 within the main 27,000m2 Nido building when it opens to the public in December this year.

GS1 announces two big shifts
GS1 recently launched a new feature powered by GS1 MediaLibrary that streamlines how clients manage, store and share product claim documents and safety data sheets and keeps them in a secure, always-accessible online location.
The GS1 MediaLibrary is used to store and share product claim documents and safety data sheets both internally and with major trading partners such as Foodstuffs and Woolworths NZ, who also have access to it.
Other GS1 news includes a new Auckland address.
Because the sheer volume of products received at GS1’s Auckland office for product photography, barcode verification and on pack data collection has increased significantly over the past two years, GS1’s Auckland office has relocated to:

Airpoints Redemption program
A MARKET-FIRST initiative to enable Kiwis to spend their Air New Zealand Airpoints Dollars at Mitre 10 New Zealand has taken out the Retail category in the 2019 TVNZ Marketing Awards.

This initial enthusiasm seems to be continuing, according
to Mitre 10 New Zealand General Manager Marketing, Jules Lloyd-Jones: “We are seeing customers choosing to use this payment method regularly, and new customers coming to shop with us as a result,” she says.
The Airpoints Redemption program allows shoppers to pay in full, or for part of their purchases with their Airpoints Dollars, by swiping their Airpoints membership card at checkout when making purchases of $75 or more.
