When a company has been in business for over 90 years, it will naturally experience many changes. Interestingly enough however, Fox & Gunn Ltd has only had four managers during this entire time,
with Baiju Lal, the current Managing Director, with over 20 years with the business. Recently the company undertook a major transformation and updated their branding.
Many trade merchants recognise Fox & Gunn for providing market
leading brands to the hardware sectors including GARTNER, KOMELON, BLU-MOL, BORDO, BESSEY,VAUGHAN,KAPRO and JOSCO to name just a few of the 38 agencies it represents.
Fox & Gunn continues to go from strength to strength as the business attracts many new agencies with its Trade sector network & focus, key account relationships and knowledgeable team.
With this high growth phase also comes new positions including a new General Manager, an Operations Manager & Sales Support to bolster the already strong portfolio line up.
New agencies have been recently been added to the range line up
that include Sqwincher hydration products, SHOPVAC vacuums, ERGODYME safety and CHAMPION fastenings.
KOMELON are first to market with their new and innovative range of
Hi Vis tapes for the trade. This tape range was a NZ initiative and has now been picked up by Komolen globally. The High Vis tape markings make reading the measurements
on the tape much easier to see & recognise. The high vis elements on the casing also make the tape more visible on site. All Komelon tape blades are nylon coated for Maximum durability whilst resisting abrasion & blade wear. With the heightened H&S awareness environment we work in, we can see the new KOMELON High Vis range being quickly adopted by those in the trade.
SHOPVAC is a new agency to Fox & Gunn and is well entrenched in the NZ market for some time now. SHOPVAC has expanded its wet & dry vacuum range to include new L class wet & dry vacuums. With its 3 year trade warranty, L dust class rating and competitive price points, the new range of SHOPVAC vac’s are sure to please.

SQWINCHER is another high poten- tial product that already has a good following in the market. Designed
to target those in the trade that can suffer from the effects of dehydration on the job, Sqwincher electrolyte replenishment is crucial for the pre- vention of dehydration, heat stress, injury and in the worst cases, death. A staggering fact is that it only takes 2% of Dehydration to result in up to a 50% decrease in work & mental per- formance. SQWINCHER is very low in both sugar and sodium, so users are not as impacted by the potential highs & lows that come from high sugar drinks. Stores can also sell SQWINCHER all year round as Dehydration is also problematic during winter. This is called cold stress. It can be even more haz- ardous in cold weather due to thirst suppression, lack of perspiration, diuretics and increased urination.
The business continues to strive
for environmentally friendly formats including its new field fleet of hybrid electric vehicles as working with its principal agencies to reduce or re- move plastic packaging altogether in the packaging disposal process.
With all the new initiatives in place at Fox & Gunn, they are well poised for continued expansion and growth, now and in the years ahead.
