EXERCISES
As with the other exercises, for this Anger Exercise, you need to connect how your thinking determines your emotions and behaviors.
A...Situation (what ever was happening prior to your anger) B...Beliefs (what you were telling yourself about the situation).
C...Feelings and actions (what emotions and behaviors accompanied that thinking).
As you begin to make the connections between A, B and C, you will see that anger is frequently the result of a misinterpretation of an “A” (situation what was said or done) and/or a set of irrational
“B” (beliefs, “No one should tell me what to do.”) that have no basis in reality.
The ability to understand the ABC’s of ANGER leads to D (Disputing).
D... Disputing your Stinky Thinking (challenging the misinterpretation of A (the situation) or B, (the irrational , beliefs).
